zerocool22
Is there a rule to measure what diopter to use on certain distances? For example a 100mm taking lens on a FF. with a 2X anamorphic lens with a diopter of +1= focus is everything in 1 meter +2 everything between 1 and 2 meters? Or something like that? As I would like to know what diopters are good to have in my bag. Thanks!
ken
I think just infinity becomes how many meters, like +2=0.5m; +1=1m; +0.5=2m; +0.25=4m...
Tito Ferradans
This EXACT same thing is explained in the very first post of the diopter thread:
richg101
+0.5 diopter = 2000mm max focus distance when lens set to infinity and minimum focus distance half the original +1 diopter = 1000mm max focus distance when lens set to infinity and minimum focus distance quarter the original +2 diopter = 500mm max focus distance when lens set to infinity and minimum focus distance one eighth of the original +4diopter = 250mm max focus distance when lens set to infinity and minimum focus distance one sixteenth of the original
