Django
I played with one last week... man that rolling shutter has got to be the worst case ever.. i was getting all kinds of jello on slow movements! and i'm not even one to complain about rolling shutter in general.. along with the overheating this camera is imo borderline defective / unusable for most applications it seems geared towards. yeah it's got 4k, good AF & s-log but kinda worthless considering the other issues. i mean what's the point of such a portable camera if it only handles static shots on sticks?! should have at least included IBIS to perhaps reduce the jello or something. i'm dumbfounded by this unit. @Grégory LEROY : oublie l'A6300 pour ce que tu fais.. d'ailleurs c'est quoi au juste?! rassure moi, ce sont de vrais militaires??! pas l'air très safe ton truc.. Not sure what the intent was there. I think maybe it might be more effective if the dream sequence was highly saturated and black-crushed and over sharpened :). Thanks The colors before the dream where a bit more muted since it was raining. After the dream I wanted it a bit more sunny. The dream sequence was shot on film with the Lomokino so no grading there. Flynn
BrorSvensson
The image in your video Mattias reminds me very much of the NX1 in a good nice, very sharp detail and very beautiful and neutral colors. Mattias Burling

Yeah I think the NX1 and a6300 are close. A bit higher DR on the Sony and less RS on the Samsung. The Sony is half the size but the Samsung half the price. Reliability wise the point goes to Samsung. Loved the colors. A nice contrast between the waking life and dream life. Mattias Burling
Aris
In one week i will be on uk for two weeks. Does anyone knows the cheapest price that i can find the a6300 in uk?
David Bowgett
High street prices are pretty uniformly at £1,000 or thereabouts. Amazon are probably the cheapest of the major retailers, at £930. Then there are sites like SLRHut who use loopholes to drastically undercut UK retailers; they'd sell you an A6300 at a much cheaper price (around £800 or so), but it'd probably be a bit dicey for a non-UK resident to use them, unless you have someone in this country whose address you can use. Davey
If it wasn't for the overheating issues - even when using 1080 - I would have snapped one up as a second camera to my A7sii. So I went with the original a7s instead.

Sony just released a V1.10 firmware update for A6300 specifically to deal with overheating: Windows: http://service.sony.com.cn/90809.htm MacOS: http://service.sony.com.cn/90811.htm V1.10 release notes: 1. Optimized temperature control algorithm. 2. Improved camera reliability and operational stability. Liam

Apparently their New Firmware Update deals with over-heating Only for Stills. http://www.diyphotography.net/sony-a6300-v1-10-firmware-update-solves-overheating-issues-not-video-shooters/ I didn't even know that was (also) a problem. It looks like the A6300 could be used as a Mini Portable Hot Plate for shoots, when one runs out of gas or other heating options. Like a Mini Grill. I won't be surprised if any user has a camera exploding in their hands due to serious overheating. I was seriously considering it since it costs under $1100 with a (16-50 mm) lens here. People even claim it's available for under $999 with a lens here. But anything that can't even shoot 5-10 mins of continuous video is Dead on Arrival.
