On my T3i, I can record video at 48Mbps (with magic lantern) I believe but I can't properly play it back in camera. Also, ScanDisk or SanDisk? Pavel Mašek Posted March 23, 2016 Share Posted March 23, 2016 I have tested my Sandisk Extreme Pro 95MB/s UHS-I 64GB and it has only 53,605 KB/s write speed and read 69,420 KB/s (I have tried it 3x times, card was formatted... and results were similar) I think it not normal and it should be faster... Going from a samsung pro to a lexar 2000x is a huge jump on my camera. You go from about 1fps when buffer full to 5/6fps. And the clearing time is about 3-4x better. The Memory dev test is probably not very reliable to be honest, my computer is from 2012 and when you can see they are 10MB/s faster than in Samsung Dev test and the SD card reader in the Samsung should be able to read the card at full speed so there is definitely something software faults with the NX1 regarding dev test. How quickly is the SD card in the USB-cardreader from Kingston on a USB3-port of a Gigabyte motherboard? Or in a USB-cardreader from Lexar on a USB3-port of a Asus motherboard? Or all on a Mac? No, what we all have in common is the NX1! What is crucial to know is, what are the fastest cards in the NX1. And it's not interesting if there 68.123 KB/s comes out. We don't know what size of blocks the NX1 writes at the test. Is the write speed of an H.265-file higher or lower than it is with RAW- or JPEG- or RAW and JPEG? I don't know. Pavel Mašek Posted April 1, 2016 Share Posted April 1, 2016 OK, but according this logic (at least) all first four cards should achieve same speeds in the dev benchmark - if camera would be the limit factor. Because they are definitely faster than shows this dev test. My Sandisk Extreme Pro 95MB/s can achieve almost 92 MB/s write speed with best card reader. Going to Lexar 2000x still means benefit of another 15 MB/s (53MBs vs 68MBs in dev test). Why there is difference in speed if cards are much faster than camera can use? The real world difference (not benchmark) is of the 4-5x magnitude. Hence there is something wrong with that benchmark. Press these buttons in order:Down OK up OK right exposure compensation button but keep it pressed press OK (normally, don't hold it) now leave the exposure compensation button that you were keeping pressed, -You should now see the DEV menu. -Under System Settings you will see Disable Mov limit, and Release without lens.
