Jimmy
Listen to this at about the 4:40 minute point, he talks about 14 bit raw output via hdmi.... Of course, you would need a raw recorder, which makes it more chunky than the X5R, interesting. non the less:
Guest Ebrahim Saadawi
HDMI supports 14bit, actually up to 30bit. but only in ''video'' form, not RAW. hdmi cannot output a raw signal in anyway.
DBounce
Seems reasonable.

This is what I thought and Dan Chung was clearly thinking too.... I would bet that the raw model will have HD-SDI, but the guy was struggling for the right term to use. Guest Ebrahim Saadawi
Yes it's absolutely clear the guy is hazy on this question, he even said ''I think". So no, it's most probably not 14bit out of HDMI or RAW, 99.999%.
Cinegain
It's pretty typical Chinese to say things like 'don't worry friend, we it will work everything ok, see, we have it, is so good, at later time' (I've had a lot of interaction with Chinese company/sales reps over the years). Sort of reminds me of the Kinefinity guy getting a little cornered there by Rodney as well...
Syme
There's nothing stopping someone from sending bayer RAW data over HDMI. You can send whatever data you want over HDMI, actually. It would appear as some crazy scrambled pattern to most HDMI devices, but the data would be there. Edit: I highly doubt they did that for this camera. Just saying it is possible.
