Dan Wake Posted June 9, 2016 Share Posted June 9, 2016 I have a canon 7D and I wish to shoot video in RAW. I wish to find a solution to avoid aliasing. the main problem is that I have not a wide angle lens, so Is not always safe to shoot in crop mode (that is a nice solution as anti aliasing). It's several years now that I'm watching the prices of the 7D vaf filter and it's always very high. tupp Posted June 10, 2016 Share Posted June 10, 2016 I never tried the the original CYL anti-aliasing filters, but it appears that a single, variable CYL anti-aliasing filter was recently developed that can replace a whole set of the original CYL filters. Guest Ebrahim Saadawi Posted June 10, 2016 Share Posted June 10, 2016 Tried a lot and nothing works aside from the magically engineered VA by Mosaic engineer. Since you mention the crop mode. How much is it? If it's like 5x then I wouldn't advice it as it simply turns the 7d raw into one with a small sensor, noise and aesthetic and everything. but if it's small, buying the 250$ Canon 10-18mm STM IS is a very pluasable option. iT"s a GREAT ultra wide.
