Guest Ebrahim Saadawi
Nikon released a new firmware update extending the UHD recording from the 3 minutes limit to normal 30minutes. The camera records UHD from the 20mp sensor crop, equal to a s35 crop. Same as the 1DXII approach. Now I am interested in the camera vs the 1DC/1DXII especially regarding the image dynamic range and colours. Note that the D5 also has a UHD 422 output off the HDMI output, clean. So with a recorder makes a better codec solution than 1dc/x (ProRes UHD 422).
independent
Does it have fast and accurate continuous autofocus, which is the 1dx II's best and most important feature?

Super Members Mattias Burling Posted July 1, 2016 Super Members Share Posted July 1, 2016 Sounds interesting. Personally I couldn't care less about AF. So the question for me is all about the DR at this point. kidzrevil and sudopera
