markm
I hadn't realised the Nikon mount adapters could be a problem if you have lenses other than Nikons. Oh dear.
moebius22
I think this camera's features are going to end up being more important than its video quality. The cropping feature and audio features among other things may compel both Canon and Sony to follow suit.
markm
The 2.7 crop factor on the D4 most interests me. It is better for super 16mm lenses lwhich I can't be sure but I don't think can't be used on the D4 even with an adapter because of its mount. The only other camera I know of that can do this well is the crop mode on the GH2. I'm waiting to see if Vitaliy can hack the GH2 new firmware version. With the new firmware enhancements like noise reduction and what looks to me an improved picture this could put the GH2 into the D800 Ballpark. It's funny how these cams seem to almost get there only to come up short at the finishing post.
Glenn Thomas
Here's what I find amusing. 24mbps on a full frame camera. If Nikon were serious, they'd find a way around that without shooters having to use an external HDMI option. Even with an iPhone 4S and the $3.99 Filmic Pro app, you can shoot at 48mbps. Double what the D800 is capable of.
