Premiere Pro CC (14.2/ 8.2.0) - 2013 Macbook Pro - Exports Taking Too Long

I've got AVCHD files that have been converted to ProRes 422.
From these files, I'm having to select and export hundreds of smaller files that are being uploaded to Dropbox so that a language translator can download them for translation.
Under most circumstances I try to export audio files only. But when the translator needs to see what is happening I export audio with the video.
Problem is that when I export audio with the video it takes quite some time to export. Is this a bug with this version? I haven't been on this version so long.
I'm exporting from ProRes 422 1080 23.976 to SD 480 to save on Dropbox space. But I'm open to other suggestions as long as the video is of half decent quality.
Does anyone know how to get PPro to export a/v faster? Settings?

Not sure what codec you are rendering to but video and audio combined will take much longer than audio only files. Why not queue them up and let Adobe Media encoder spit them all out overnight. Cheers, Rob

I don't thing downscaling them from 16:9 1080p to 4:3 480 is helping you either. Try going to 720 to keep the same aspect ratio as the 1080p. Or do a custom number, closer to 480 that is still 16:9. I think the smallest 16:9 aspect ratio is 1024x576.
