I'd love to see a battery grip that unlocks other features (higher fps), unlike the YAGHYAGHYAGHYAGH. I also hope to see an improvement in dynamic range. Their current HDR UHD TVs feature native H.265/HEVC and VP9 decoding at 10 bits. I am not aware of 10 bit H.264 decoding support in these TVs. So there's a good possibility this camera will actually record in HEVC and even have a built in HDR profile (HDR10?) in addition to Log profile for those of us who will grade the images offline. I could be wrong, but it just doesn't seem to make logical sense to shoot in a codec that won't be playback-compatible with their HDR capable TVs, especially considering product lifecycles can run as long as 3 years for a GH. Atomos have always said that the Shogun can record raw-prores or raw-rawDNG with firmware. When I asked from what, they said, from any camera that desire to do so. They have just been waiting for a camera manufacturer who wants to do it. And its +2 years since I had that conversation with them. Since then the Raw-prores has already been introduced. May have to go without a camera for awhile while I wait for the GH5 to drift down a bit in price. The $1,699 price at release for the GH4 was a bit much for my budget. I really just wonder how the colors and codec are going to compare to the BMPCC. If we are really getting 10 bit 4:2:2 internally with at least BMPCC level colors and codec I'm in.
