DPC
Is there any reason not to use M (stills) mode for video? I'm getting sick of having to quit movie mode to do a custom white balance. Thanks!
Davey
I use it on the a7sii - saw a tip on YouTube when I bought it.
tellure
I always keep my A7R2 in M for recording video. It's especially useful for shooting in bright sunlight because the horrible 'feature' where the viewfinder brightness dims when recording 4K video only kicks in in M mode after you start recording, so you can frame a shot before losing visibility. In movie mode it pre-dims the viewfinder even before you hit record.
teddoman
Have you checked if you can do a custom WB in the custom presets 1 or 2? I have an A6300 but should be the same on A7R2. I've never tried doing it with custom WB before. I set SS, aperture and picture profile in the custom presets for fast access to my video settings. I use the regular M mode for photos.
