I really, really want them to upgrade the EVF system. The LCD mount is flimsy and the loupe is a cheap piece of crap. I would prefer a solid three-axis mount that's more like the F5/F55.

Also, the menu. But this is Sony, so of course the menu is gonna be three miles long and impossibly confusing.

BH, in the specs tab, has shooting formats with 12 bit raw, no mention of external recorder. I assume it'll need a recorder, but can anyone confirm this?

Assumed correctly. Without one, maximum 10-bit internal (1080p)/external(4:2:2 over 3G HD-SDI/HDMI up to 2K/4K) (non-RAW).

12-bit precision. Compatible RAW recorders represent linear light with 12 bits of precision.

The Yen is up ~20% to the US$ and Euro the year.  We will see higher prices for all new camera releases.

Yeah. And it seams it will keep going up. But maybe we are also near a big crash, so who knows? I for sure wouldn't buy now. I think in this times in the industry of prosumer cameras the best is to buy second hand, the depreciation of tech is hugely fast. You can buy a camera 8 months after the release and pay half or less.
