Fifty
This is great news for all Nikon shooters. I know I'm personally excited for any D7100 ports if/when they come. Amazing what Nikon Hackers are managing.

Christina Ava
very nice review, and a great camera, nikon glass is excellent so no problem about the lenses, the only thing that kills it for me is this No kelvin manual white balance setting does this mean that it will change color balance mid shooting when in auto...i wonder
Guest Ebrahim Saadawi
No kelvin manual white balance setting does this mean that it will change color balance mid shooting when in auto...i wonder -Yes, however it does work really well in auto and makes the adjustments smoothly and when only needed. Never bothered me. -There are many presets to manually get close enough -Pretty sure (not 100% though) there was a "preset" mode in the white balance menu that lets you adjust white balance with a gray card/white paper and it locks on to that

mojo43
Hey terozzz Three questions: 1) Does the camera playback files in 40mbps mode? 2) Does the hack make 720p mode a higher bitrate as well? 3) Can you go back to Nikon's initial firmware? Thanks in advance!

Guest Ebrahim Saadawi
Any visual difference in image quality with the higher bit-rate hack? Where can I download and give it a try?
mojo43
Check out simeonpilgrim's site. I haven't tested out any complex scenes yet, but I can report back later.
Wulf
look at nikonhacker.com the ugly macroblocking/banding is almost gone, it depends on your shooting/lightning/scenes if there's a big difference or not, mostly it's more supple but nevertheless an improvement
terozzz
Nikon D5200 40Mbit/s hack 1280 x 720p Vs. 1920 x 1080p With and without sharpening. Slight color and contrast adjustment. Shoot with Flaat 11. Look in youtube cos here its only 720p. :/ mojo43
