Simon Shasha
Hey guys, I finally ordered myself the GX85. Though I have the A6300, BMPCC and BMMCC, I feel that the GX85 is just too good to pass up at its price. Just wanted to know, is it possible to use the BMPCC x0.58 Speed Booster on the GX85? Has anyone tried this? Would love to know! Thanks!

Asked, but not answered, it seems. I'll shoot Metabones an e-mail.
Administrators Andrew Reid Posted December 13, 2016 Administrators Share Posted December 13, 2016 It's not designed to work and when I tried it on the other Panasonic cameras it gave a lopsided image which was soft on one side and sharp on the other. So even the glass doesn't press on the shutter or risk damaging the camera, it's hardly worth trying any way. Better to use the XL!
toxotis70
Is there any other speedbooster that have electronic connection....? Metabones is very expensive and I don't need af, the only thing I need is the adapter to pass the right information to the gx80 so I have stabilization. You do not need electronic contacts for IBIS to work, you could use the Mitakon Zhongyi or even a generic speed booster and then enter the focal length manually.
