Frank5
Hello, which Canon APSC camera exhibits in your opinion the best low light performance for full HD video? For instance, low noise in shadows, least banding, etc. For full frame, most would probably recommend the 5D and 6D, but I am looking for a crop sensor alternative with similar quality, colors and bitrate. Thanks for any input!
hijodeibn
check Canon C100 and C300, they are the cine line with an APSC sensor, they record in 4k downscaling to 1080p, today a C100 mk1 cost less than a 5D mrk IV, the image is so cinematic and the low light is fantastic, not to mention the skintones which are the best by far from any camera in the same price range. By the way, you also have Canon C-log, which is a plus. Kisaha and Frank5
cantsin
Footnote to the above: among the Canon APS-C DSLR and mirrorless cameras, there's no major difference. All of them use very similar sensors and produce pretty much the same video image ever since the Canon 550D/Rebel T2i:https://www.dxomark.com/Cameras/Compare/Side-by-side/Canon-EOS-M10-versus-Canon-EOS-760D-versus-Canon-EOS-550D___1048_1011_645
Frank5
OK, interesting. I thought perhaps the 70D or 80D were improvements. The suggestion with the C100mkII or C300 is great. Many thanks.
Rinad Amir
Go for 80d pdaf and low light has been improved over 70d and other areas as well since price difrence was only 150euro it was no brainer also if you combine it with Sigma 18-35 1.8 its equlavent to FF camera view witch is.
