Matt Weiss
Hi guys! Does anyone knows what it is? I've shot some footage today with a new picture style in low light (EOSHD Cinema for A7SII) and got plenty of these artefacts in footage (it plays with glitches). Is it the picture style? The SD Card? The Camera? I've tried to replicate the situation at home but with no luck.
Don Kotlos
My guess would be the SD card. Try another card that is always formatted in camera and see if you can replicate it. jcs

So is this the card issue? Any suggestions on SD card brands? Mine are Sandisk Pro 64GB... Are there any better options?

Sandisk extreme pro should be fine but lexar professional is good as well. Matt Weiss

I use the SanDisk Extreme PRO 128 GB SDXC UHS-I and have had no such problems, or any for that matter, in six months with the a7s2. The recommendation for this card (I have two and both have been fine) came from here: http://alikgriffin.com/best-sd-memory-card-sony-a7s-ii I also use the EOSHD Pro Color and have seen no such problems. To me, it looks like a glitchy frame that has happened during import. What does it look like in-camera through the EVF?

This is what it looks like when I play the file in Premiere Pro and in VLC. There multiple files that are this way from yesterday shooting. dafreaking
The Extreme Pro's are the best cards. Some do go bad. Looks like you got the short end of the stick.

Put the card back in the camera and play the files via the HDMI cord to a tv. I guarantee you wont see any problems. The problem is your computer is not decoding the files correctly. Update your codecs. jonpais

Update your codecs. You're right! I've played the files in camera and there's no issues. How do I update the codecs? Don't I suppose to get the latest with Adobe Cloud? (I'm on windows machine)

But it also could come down to your video card and/or computer is not powerful enough... https://www.codecguide.com/download_kl.htm or look up codec packs... be sure to download only the latest ones.. AKH
I'd recommend giving Media Player Classic Home Cinema or VLC Player a try, they come with most codecs built in so you don't have to do other updates.
