rokkimort
As I'm having an anamorphic craze again, and am about to spend some good money and buy some anamorphic glass, I want to make sure that I will be able to do more then test/weekend videos with it. When you look up any anamorphic attachment lens or setup, all you find are home videos or people shooting random stuff around the city. Are there any examples of real use of such setups? Like shorts or music videos that have storyline (or just cinematic looking in general)? I'm looking at iscoramas and Kowa BH + core DNA setups mostly, with BM production cameras or ursa mini setups (anything that is not a GH or a pocket, basically), and I cannot find any examples at all. Is anyone willing to share their own or other's work that is not a home video?
Tito Ferradans
shot by Matt Leaf, using a Kowa 16-H, rangefiinder and russian primes on a RED camera. Matt has been putting his Kowa to use in various music videos here in Vancouver - BC. Here again, Kowa B&H and Elmo II with Rectilux, russian primes and 5D3 shooting RAW + BMPCC. hyalinejim
Both of these are an Iscorama pre-36 on a 5D2. Still going strong these days with the Isco for documentaries on ML5D3. It requires a measured approach to shooting. Not good for when you need to change lenses quickly in order to get the shot. icarrere, Flynn and Leepatterson
