Marco Tecno
I know you can do it. Same optical quality of nx-L, but inverse logic. 50-150 would become a 100-300 f5.6, which is not so bad. derderimmermuedeist
+1 the 100-300 /f5.6 and 32-100 /f4.0 and a 170 /f2.8 ! I would buy immediately !!
Marco Tecno
I was also thinking about the wonderful 85/1.4...170/2.8 (equivalent to 255mm in ff) is outstanding. And all with af... The important part is the optical quality of the lens used.
noplz
You'd need -2x optical nx teleconverter -Contacts to pass aperture and AF signal The film days were littered with terrible 2x teleconverters which you can now buy for pennies, to use as paperweights I guess. There were a few good ones that still sell for $$$. I'm not sure you really can get NX-L optical quality out of a teleconverter because you're doing the opposite thing right? Blowing up your image circle is going to take all the bad things about your lens and make them two times as bad isn't it? 2px wide CA is going to become 4px, etc. Unless perhaps you include some carefully thought out elements to correct for that... Seriously Samsung why no nx 300mm f2.8? We know you made some.
Kisaha
the good thing is that there is already a cheap macro tube with contacts, maybe it is possible to 3d print one of those and put some elements inside. This is were my mechanical capabilities stop! Marco Tecno
Marco Tecno
I was thinking of something similar to an extension tube, with premium optics inside, ala nx-l. I think it could even be easier to develop compared to nx-l, since the lens doesn't need to be next to the sensor.
lucabutera
Hallo Marco and all members, who would finance this project?
Marco Tecno
This could be crowfunded again like you did for nx-l. But first you could start a poll to see how many could be interested and at what price (I guess it could be about the price of nx-l, not having additional electronic inside and actually requiring less 'tricks' not having to put the lens so near the sensor). Marco Tecno
I guess nobody is really interested in this product. Too bad.
