Brian Luce
I understand that the 2.5k video mode for the nx500 is a reality now via the hack. Are there any reviews or opinions on the benefits of this hack? What does it give you in real world terms beyond what the stock settings provide? less moire? less noise? less skewing? less aliasing? what are the pros and cons? thank you. Geoff CB
Its a great detailed clean image, with the best motion cadence on a more-than-1080p camera. The problems 1) No flat profile 2) difficult to rig up with viewfinder/moniter because there was no cages made for it, so the small HDMI port is hard to deal with. As far as caging goes I use this as a universal cage...https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B011NVXP1A/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I can rig my NX-1 + Battery grip, NX-1 without battery grip, and my BMPCC with it you just have to swap out the vertical rod that costs $
Kisaha
What you do with the HDMI port of the NX500?
SMGJohn
The 1440p mode seems to cause some really odd artefacts from time to time like these interlacing lines. I have no idea if NX-KS hack fixed it or not though.

I have to use an external monitor? Also, do you get the cropped 4k FOV? You'd get full view right?
