I'm not arguing that there aren't any, because there are, but they're a lot less than the price differential would suggest.

DR and detail/sharpness mostly as resolution should be the same.

Resolution likely isn't the same.  RAW at a given bit-depth has a constant bitrate and one of the plus points on the 5D is the fast card slot, so it can do higher resolutions than the lesser models.

Have you used ML?

Yes on the 5D III. Liked it a lot, only downside was the low DR as it is quite a dated camera vs the options we have now DR wise.

Yeah, the DR on Canon isn't the greatest unfortunately.
