blaufish
Angenieux – 25mm – f0.95 A beautiful lens, although I’ve always preferred wide angles lenses… But that’s personal. I find it a bit chirurgical… But the fast aperture and the color rendition make it a beast in some shooting scenarios! Antoine from France ! Your people shots look great :)
blaufish
V6x17 17-102mm f/2.0 Canon Tv Zoom Lens (with ND 2X) Seems to work great. The out of focus backgrounds look weird, not so pleasing. The color grading was unusual hard to get nice, and most shots were over-exposed. Probably not related to the lens though, It was very harsh sunlight and the screen was very hard to see. arant.joseph
So, I'm interested in picking up a Carl Zeiss Jena Tevidon 16/1.8 Lens for my BMPCC, but I am seeing that some machining is needed for it to work properly. I was wondering if this Tevidon to C-mount adapter (paired with a c-mount to mft adapter) would do the trick? Would two adapters cause more focus concerns? Thanks!http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/370893535682?lpid=
andy lee
thats not an adapter it s the back mount off a Zeiss Tevidon , so its is no use , your Tevidon will already have one of the on the back of it anyhow as they are made with it attached! You need a lathe to machine the rear of the Tevidon so it fits a cmount adapter OR buy A Fujinon (made in Japan not Fujian made in China) 16mm as the Zeiss and Fujinon are almost identical optically in shootouts its almost impossibe to tell them appart the 25mm f1.4 and 35mm f1.7 Fujinons are Distagon equivialnts they are that good, I use them alot
Mike Hornblow
I just bought the Meteor 5-1 17-69mm f1.9 zoom for my BMPCC... but i'm not really clear from the thread above about which M42-MFT adaptor is going to fit best... and where to get it from. The Rainbowimaging one mentioned above is no longer available. Here's some ebay options http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odkw=m42-m4%2F3&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_from=R40&_trksid=p2045573.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.Xm42-m4%2F3+adaptor&_nkw=m42-m4%2F3+adaptor&_sacat=0 any suggestions? stevyraj
Best and cheapest C Mount lens if you can modify the mount. COSMICAR 12.5 f1.8 got it for only $35 on eBay. Fully covers the sensor. Only downside can't film wide open.

The only adapter I've found made specifically for that lens is this (expensive) one from ciecio7:http://www.ebay.com/itm/Krasnogorsk-camera-16mm-lens-meteor-to-Blackmagic-pocket-BMPC-GH3-GH4-adapter-/251444858498?hash=item3a8b480e82:g:zKgAAOxy63FS9AJn
Matchiam
I gotta' say, I'm real appreciative of this thread. I recently bought a BMPCC w/the adaptor- and really needed this list. Thank you. Wondering if anyone knows if the HJ21ex7.8B ( ENG 1/2inch Wide Standard Telephoto Lens) can be adapted for the BMPCC.... anyone know? tweak
@andy lee Fujinon don't make a 16mm that covers 1 inch format. They do make a 17mm though but it's incredibly hard to modify. I managed to modify one myself but the image circle is still quite small, it didn't cover gh4 4K modes, it may almost cover bmpcc but I still think it may vignette. I've been wondering about that 17mm. I have the 12.5mm, the 25mm and the 35mm. I really like the lenses, but there is a big hole in the normal range on the BMPCC, without the 17mm. Do you think it would cover without vignetting in 2:35? Also, what did the modify entail?
tweak
@mercer Hard to say, it was a while ago now and I don't have the lens with me. The vignette was quite big though, what's the difference in sensor size between GH4 4K and BMPCC? post up a little diagram. The mod is pretty hard to be honest. I used a lathe to cut down the silver/brass metal tube protruding out of the back of the lens, down to where the threads start. After that I used a dremel to painstakingly grind down the rear protrusion that comes out further than the rear element. This is difficult because if you slip you ruin the lens. It took quite a long time. I agree a 17mm would have been so nice, I was pretty bummed it didn't cover as it's also very small and light, it's a really good size. jbCinC_12
Has anyone tried the Modified Computar 12.5mm /f1.3 c-mount lens? It claims it fits the Pocket. I was wondering if this is legit. Cheers.

Also that price is fairly high. mercer

If you're looking for a 12.5mm, I have two extra copies I am looking to sell that both cover the sensor and fit into the adapters without modification... the Fujinon 12.5mm f/1.4 and a Cosmicar 12.5mm f/1.9. 1 hour ago, tweak said: Yes. Yeah, I just got burned with the 15mm Angenieux... It's my own fault really. He listed some of the flaws, but never mentioned anything about the focus. Since he mentioned the flaws, I stupidly overlooked the focus and sure enough, the focus ring is a little too stiff. Do you know how complex it is to relube focus mechanisms? Or a pro that works with these old c-mounts?
