Just wanting a setup to be able to stretch out to about 600mm - 800mm in 35 mm terms for some surfing shots. I will be using a MFT body. I have a very basic Olympus EPL1 with an adapted Nikkor 80mm - 200mm f 2.8 getting me to 400mm adapted equivalent (not long enough). I'll be more than happy with a GH4 when I UPGRADE ,locked down to heavy tripod, manual focus and away I go. The question in my head at the moment is with all the cropping going on, if you choose the 4K delivery with its extra crops is( I want this effect) "will I loose a lot of clarity from such a heavily cropped central part of a 35mm prime lens being compensated to deliver a pretty big telephoto effect".
