Back to the basics

[DC Lens]

Hi all,

 

New to this forum, and it looks great. Lots to explore.

 

With some help, I need to back up a step. I'm someone that spent decades shooting with ENG cameras (all REC 709, very basic), and although I own the C300 and 5D MkIII, still haven't got 'the fundamentals' when it comes to color space, log profiles, etc. My immediate job is to bring 3 cameras into the same approximate recording profiles for interviews : C300 MkII, C300, and 5dMkIII.

 

Would anyone tell me how to get started? Perhaps a good book or article (I imagine it would have to be lengthy!).
