Question: best quality conversion H264 to Prores

Hi, could somebody tell me the best converter for f.e. H265 to Prores, highest quality, Mac version. Tried Edit Ready and it is fine BUT checking the converted file it seems that it is loosing a biz Highlight and Shadow detail ??

I've always used Rocky Mountain Movie Converter to convert my NX1 h.265 files to ProRes.

Other people reported losing highlight/shadow detail. I think it has something to do with 16-235 vs 0-255. I haven't checked that thread in a while but I think I remember Andrew recommending reducing the contrast slider or something to bring the detail back.
