AaronChicago
@Neumann Films very cool. Does the GH5s really have 2 more stops of DR than the GH5? Georgios
jonpais
I haven’t watched anything yet, I’ll have to watch all these videos tomorrow, it’s 2am here. But 1st of all, the GH5 does not have 12 stops of usable DR. Secondly, they greatly overstate their ISOs compared to Sony.

He did his own re-grade and released it a few days later. Sorry, man. Filippo Chiesa and Neumann Films
Neumann Films
2 more stops is what I was told, who knows what has changed since then though. I didn't notice more as much as I noticed awesome highlight roll off. Wherever the new extra DR went, it went to the right places.

They... probably need it to look 'good' for people that just bought a Panasonic 4K HDR television that's loaded up with factory overdone settings..? Neumann Films
I would be very very curious to see if it looks any better. I'm assuming it does but it would need a miracle to look decent at this point.
AaronChicago
I"m torn between IBIS and low light. I mainly use the GH5 for anamorphic now. It's nice to have some IBIS going handheld, but I'm always at T4-T5.6 on the SLR Magic prime, so the extra boost in low light would be very nice. Neumann Films
Don't forget about the highlight roll off man...in my opinion it's more valuable than the low light. Although at T4-5.6 that will be big for you as well.
JordanWright
Kai at CVP is claiming no increase in DR - however it wasn't a great test he did
Neumann Films
I will say, based off perception (so...two grains of salt) I didn't notice much increase outside of the highlight roll off. Again...that was like the first thing I noticed on day 1. Two stop increase? Could be, I didn't notice that. Cinema camera roll off...yup. Spgreen65
Sorry to be simple, but what is the process for the use of the dual Native ISO? Do I need to do anything or when I select 2500 or more it just does something internally to the camera? Luke, I wondered about the grading as your sneaked images the robot seemed to pop more. sanveer
So it has Dual ISO, ISO800 and ISO2500, or ISO800 and ISO5000 if its for VLog. I suspect that Panasonic could have had the Dual ISO at ISO3200 and ISO12800, but they did not. Not having IBIS is a terrible omission. I could have imagined using the GH5s for handheld night street videography. Without IBIS, it would be pretty shaky. Sad. No increase in dynamic Range. I guess that was just a rumour. The GH5 is pretty decent in VLog Anyway, so that's hardly a problem.
Neumann Films
It's in the exposure menu and you change from "High" to "Low". When on Low you want to be at ISO 400, when in High 2500. From what I understand the omission of IBIS was necessary for the inclusion of Dual ISO

jonpais
Sean Robinson is saying they conservatively estimate a 1-1/2 stop increase in low light performance over the GH5.
