/p/ Posted May 8, 2013 Share Posted May 8, 2013 Anyone using/used any of the Sony NEX cameras for video work? (NEX 5, 6 or 7.. Not FS100 or FS700) What did you think? Sean Cunningham Posted May 8, 2013 Share Posted May 8, 2013 I've never used it but from memory the NEX-5 is maybe the only recurring Sony camera to come up in videos that I've watched where I was compelled to look at what camera was used because the image looked good and not the opposite. I can sometimes detect the electrified, sometimes oddly smeary highlights that I associate with camcorder footage but I chalk those instances up to unfortunate camera settings relative to the image being captured, because I've seen plenty of others that just look nice.
