Well of course the whole equivalence argument tends to mean different things to different people. But I found that I was increasingly looking for bigger and more expensive lenses with M43 than what I considered their equivalent with FF.... http://camerasize.com/compact/#579.639,482.683,ha,t jonpais

True, speedboosters get you closer optically, but move you further away in terms of size and weight equivalence. And if we are talking native lenses then AF might be an issue. My only lens now - FF 35mm/1.4 would be 18mm/0.7 on m4/3.. and it was soo cheap..
salim
Max Yuryev has done the first ISO comparison:
buggz
NOW he should make EV equivalents. I hate it when the light isn't "weighed" the same. >>> Max Yuryev has done the first ISO comparison:
anonim
Iso for Iso, but it looks almost funny how Yuryev's face suddenly becomes the clearest/sharpest at 1600 in GH5 GreekBeast, salim and Emanuel 2
buggz
Wow, LOTS of A7RIII's for sale suddenly on FM if anyone is lookin'...
liork
As per A7III high ISO results, it would be logical to guess that the A7S III will have a similar 24mp sensor with all video extras.
aldolega
No way the S3 has a 24MP sensor. I'd say 20MP at most, more likely 16 or 18.
Inazuma
Rumors before the announcement suggested a price tag of $1899. I wonder if the XH1 price actually persuaded Sony to increase the price of this a little bit :o They've really hit it out of the ballpark with this one. Well the Sonyalpharumors rumors were pretty wide of the mark 167 autofocus points (actual 693) No 1080 120 fps So I am guessing the source really didnt know anything. I would be seriously surprised if those specs were ever planned for US$1899 - they seem incredibly reasonable at the US$1999 price point. no_connection
There is no way that is not temporal NR It looks to be pretty decent at handling noise without color breakdown but it's no longer apples to apples comparison. Now if it's aimed at the "baseline" it might not be a bad thing since NR is very hard to get right. But what happens if we turn it off(if we can)? Can't really say cleaner 20 times and that makes it so.
