Not to be spiteful, but where's that guy that argued these Samsung SSD's would never work and it was all marketing hype? ? But seriously this is very exciting. I'm glad BM sent this out to a regular user to showcase its broad uses.

wyrlyn
Can you record CDNG at 3840x2160 and 1920x1080 or it is DCI 4K only? Cinema DNG is always full sensor or windowed when in that mode. You cannot record CDNG 3840 x 2160 and 1920 x 1080. Only DCI 4K. by AskBMD on BH page.

seanzzxx
No the 2x crop is only when shooting raw, Prores is downsampled 4k at no crop. Sage

The shot at 1:35 looks effin brilliant. Has there been any word about IR filtration on these videos? Ha, just realized that’s the shot they used for their thumbnail. The guy who shot the Seoul Zoo footage had this to say over on bmcuser: "I did another shoot yesterday which I'm editing right now. I used Hoya Pro NDs (2-4-6 stops) and I haven't noticed a thing related to IR. Blacks are neutral and clean" So sounds promising! And yeah, that footage is beautiful. Snuff
Finally, a soft organic picture, but the sun, glare looks overdone. We need to carefully select the plot and shooting parameters to fit into the DR. mercer

One of these days, after a few more short films, this camera looks like it could be a logical upgrade for me. If I can scrounge the money together I may get it sooner to practice color grading. Being an FCPX user, ProRes is always appealing.

You can shoot all resolutions in RAW or ProRes. When they say it always shoots "full sensor" they mean that it's a 1:1 pixel mapping with no super sampling so 3840x2160 and 1920x1080 would be considered "windowed".
