Anaconda_
Quite a nice hands on review on the usability of the camera: https://www.redsharknews.com/production/item/5766-we-ve-tried-the-blackmagic-pocket-cinema-camera-4k-here-s-all-you-need-to-know Raw DNG untouched 4000iso: 100% crop: wyrlyn, AlexTrinder96 and Jonesy Jones 1

Exactly, I want the best possible camera, but also it is nice if it is a bunch of medium and low level settings underneath the top setting as well. This is one of the downsides of the C200, it didn't have that many options, just raw or 8bit

I suppose such a cheap cinema cam puts itself within reach of people that don't really understand what they are getting. Nice to see more articles popping up though
Administrators Andrew Reid Posted September 7, 2018 Administrators Share Posted September 7, 2018 Hmm. Crappy. Obviously Blackmagic didn't invite me to the hands-on. Pretty clueless of them not to. I would have quite liked to have taken one on a shoot. I do at least know what ProRes is Turboguard, Nikkor, Meahmut and 4 others 5
wyrlyn
Still not a single info about the built-in audio mic quality. Anaconda_
jonpais
The article also reads, “it’s been designed to be handheld,” rather funny, because best results will be had shooting on a gimbal, tripod or other support.

Still handheld even if you hold it up on a gimbal or even monopod for extra weight, no? ?

This is on the article I posted: "Either side of the lens are two mic housings which are home to four microphones, tuned for vocal pick-up." "The BMPCC4K also has quiet audio circuits and a built in mini XLR, something that no alternative mirrorless camera has unless you purchase a costly add on device...." But yeah, very little to go on for now. wyrlyn
Snuff
The author of this video "Bubble Gum" answered that he didn't use any IR CUT filters. Does it mean that there is not IR pollution in the BMP4K and we don't need IR CUT filters anymore? Quote Do you need to use a IR cut? I used Hoya Pro NDs. Didn't see an IR. Jonesy Jones
@DBounce for the last several months you've been preparing us all for some major omissions from this camera's promoted specs. At this point do you think BM has delivered, or is it still too early to tell?
