Nick D
i tend to get a lot of noise in my shadows, even with a very low ISO (100-800) I am shooting on a sony a6500 with the PRO LOG cine picture profile. Does anyone have any advice on this, is it like S-LOG where you have to expose +2 stops? Here is an example (Rendered at maximum depth and exported with vbr 2 pass 25/30) especially the first couple shots is noisey in the shadows the exposure shouldn't be less than -0,3 and this shows even before youtube compression. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AvMw7NH5juQ&feature=youtu.be Hope you can help
heart0less
To be honest, I can't see any disturbing noise in the shots you mentioned. The footage looks clean and pleasing to the eye. Here's the advice, though: A quote from the .pdf file you should have, if you actually bought EOSHD for Sony (I hope Andrew won't mind) : Quote Pro LOG Cinema benefits from exposing at 0 on the exposure meter in-camera (that is to say in the middle) or sometimes slightly under to protect the highlights. However Pro LOG S (S-LOG based) benefits from exposing at least 1.5-stops to-the-right (+1.5 on the exposure meter in-camera).

LOG footage is noisy in the shadows before grading, it's not meant as a straight out of camera look.
