Fred14
Hello All Would appreciate your advice on a fast wide angle prime lens for shooting video with the Canon C100's super 35 CMOS sensor. I don't want to go so wide it becomes a fisheye. I already own the a Canon EF-S 10-18mm f4.5-5.6 IS STM Zoom lens, but I want something faster. I love my Samyang 35mm T1.5 prime lens (great value for money) and would like a fast wide which is also great value for money. I've been looking at Samyang 12mm, 14mm and 16mm lenses as a possible purchase. I would ideally like to go for the 12mm to give myself the greatest field of vision, but what's on offer either seems to be called a fisheye for the EF mount (can I use this on my Super 35 sensor without it creating a fisheye effect??) or there's a nice cine lens, but this is for an APS-C crop sensor for Canon M. Could really do with some advice from someone with more knowledge and experience than me. Many thanks
Parker
@Fred14what about this one? Rokinon 10mm f2.8. Only downside is I don't think it will accept filters. A lot of people might also recommend the Tokina 11-16mm f2.8, but personally I've just never been much of a fan of that lens, always seemed soft to me. Great closed-down star shape though. Here's the link to the Rokinon, Good luck! https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1039916-REG
Matt James Smith ?
Yeah I would look k at the Tokina 11-16 2.8. Personally I like the lens and found mine very sharp (it was V1 - i seem to recall V2 is softer). Also they now offer an 11-20mm 2.8. They also do a 14-20mm f/2.0 but it’s pricey. All well built, fast lenses.
Laurier
The samyang 16mm is really good , T2.2 is really helpful.

Trek of Joy
The Tokina 11-16 was a great UWA when I used it - though admittedly it was a few years ago. Can you find a shop and try one out? Chris
