(Not my listing, just thought i'd share with you as the price seems reasonable) Sun Anamorphot 16 2xhttp://www.ebay.com/itm/Sun-Anamorphic-Anamorphot-Adapter-16-2x-/322134100865? Cannot buy it now as I don't have the cash :s I just bought an ISCO ULTRA STAR (with the projection lenses) for 130€. I don't know what I would have picked if I found the Sun 16 2x first ... I guess the Sun is same as Proskar lens. If true, to compare with ISCO integrated lens, the difference is rear mount size, and flare . But ISCO might be a little bit sharper, and less flare. cptlenslfares
Hey All, I wanted to get advice on this projector lens here: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Schneider-Super-Cinelux-2x-Anamorphic-Lens-/282091164574?hash=item41adf1939e:g:eHYAAOSwhOVXfDaJ My concern is focus pulling, ive been researching and reading however I wanted to ask here to be sure. Is this one of those lenses that would need to be re-housed? Would it work if I just mounted it against my dslr lens? (either on a rig or using one of those front lens clamps) Going along with this one I found a cheaper lens that seems promising, however I'd love tto hear your opinions. http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Kowa-Prominar-Anamorphic-16-S-Lens-/282088811848?hash=item41adcdad48:g:WmEAAOSwgY9XeXjk Im doing the common thing: trying to do genuine anamorphic for dirt cheap, so I'd rather get told that it's possible without a massive projector lens and a setup to go with it. I am likely asking the wrong questions so if you guys can help I would be really appreciative! -Jordan
cptlenslfares
My previous post was hidden for a week or so therefore I ended up buying a Kowa Prominar 16. However it seems to just be called a "16" which I couldnt find details on here. http://super8wiki.com/index.php/Anamorphic_Lenses Heres a photo of it from the ebay listing: You can see it just ends at 16 and I cant find any info on it. When it arrives I'll take some samples with it and let you all know what it ends up like. Thanks everyone :D
ken
Do you have side view of the lens?
elgabogomez
I have one with the same size and look of a 16h (around 50mm rear thread, around 70mm front diameter) that doesn't even says "16" it just says kowa prominar. The one you post seems like a 16d/16s.
tweak
No the one he posted is just a "16" I have a feeling it's an older version (pre A,S,D etc), it's similar in size and make to a 16s but slightly different. You can use 16s clamp. It has blue flares and pretty good image quality, I bought one for my brother in law. elgabogomez

ken
First time see this lens: http://www.ebay.com/itm/131898924430 It is a big lens. So I am not interested in it. Do you think how much it is worth?

Do you think how much it is worth? These lenses were re-worked Kowa B&H bodies, with ability to manually spin orientation for surreal effects. Sometimes motorised by attaching gear wheel to orientation ring. Results seen in video below. As for how much it's worth? - there was a load of these for sale a couple of years ago, usually went cheaper than regular Kowa B&H prices since the added bodywork adds a bit of weight, and the front section is built up to 115mm making it a bit more complicated to source affordable filter/close up diopter solutions that would fit. So it's slightly less appealing for general DSLR type filmmaking - but it could be made to work.

Tacinamo
Hello! I found an old lens for some dirt cheap price. It's a Galileo Anamorfico 1:2 lens. Has anybody had this lens or knows anything about it? I want to get it for my dslr but not sure whether I can fit it in a clamp.

I saw several of these on ebay the last months. I was looking for something smaller & lighter though, so I didn't go with it. Curious to see what it's like optically. Judging by pictures of the Galileo Anamorfico, it is a re-branded Bausch & Lomb Cinemascope Attachment I, so it will have identical optical properties..
