pkepneriv@yahoo.com
Are there any Magic Lantern mods for the Canon GH2? If so what all does it allow the camera to do and at what resolution? How is the GH2 with recording audio? I am looking fora good starting DSLR camera for shooting short films and mabe some other projects. I keep hearing good things about how a hacked GH2 can compete with a 5D mark III and some say the GH2 even performs better with video? How true is this? Does the GH2 have a time limit on recordingvideo like the 5D mark II and III? Thanks, Paul Kepner OffewMapype
Julian
Canon GH2... good one. It's from Panasonic. Magic Lantern = Canon only. There are hacks for the Panasonic GH2, they give you very high bitrates, and (out of the box) the GH2 has better resolution than 5D II and III (also out of the box). There's no such thing as a raw hack for the GH2 and don't expect it will come or that ML will bring it. Mondo
pkepneriv@yahoo.com
Julian sorry about I meant that the GH2 by Panasonic. For some reason I put Canon. Does the GH2 have a video record time limit like the Canon and Nikon have? With them you can only record 10-12 minutes max depending on resolution settings. Honestly I don't want to spend that kind of money on a camera that won't allow me to record as long as I want. I want a camera that I can use for cinematography, maybe making comercials, and maybe for recording dance recital or wedding. Would the GH2 be able to do what I want or should I look at other models or makes of cameras? Thanks, Paul Kepner
