jbCinC_12
Hello. I got my Panasonic GF2 today (yay!), and I'm liking it so far. While trying the patch myself, I'm wondering if I'm hacking the right version. I noticed it says Firmware version 1.1 (it don't spell out version 1.11 or 1.12 e.g. Following what unconsenting said in this threadhttp://www.eoshd.com/comments/index.php/topic,345.15.html I tried twice to apply the new firmware into said camera, everything's fine like it is, but what I don't get is is it really the new firmware I'm applying. I used a PNY 8gb, Class 10 card. Anyone stumped as I am? I'm so new at this... all in all, I like my new toy. Replies are welcome.
unconsenting
I realize this is a pretty late reply, but I too got my GF2. I first loaded the firmware from Panasonic "as is" and it updated to 1.1 firmware. I then put Andrew Reid's version of the hack and it still shows 1.1 version. I know it applied because I can switch regions by going to Video Out and selecting PAL or NTSC.
charlescowper
i'm a little confused too but as i can switch between pal and ntsc i guess i've got it working. i still find the process of trying out other hacks quite confusing though.
Mirrorkisser
You applied the patch correctly. It doesnt change the number of the firmware, it just modifies it. So if you can change the stuff you are supposed to be able to change after the hack, then all is fine!
