I actually have a UV photography set up where it makes sense and I suppose lens flares can be ok in film (but then anamorphic would be better, no?). Any other reasons? MattH Posted July 28, 2013 Share Posted July 28, 2013 Thanks for the post. It was interesting to show what a lens coating does. And it does more than I expected. A little flare is ok in certain circumstances, but the type of flare illustrated in the article is excessive to my taste. It shows how important a lens hood would have been in the past.
