Anaconda_
Has anyone here seen the series 'Happy!'? The camera work in the first season is remarkable, and the second season is even better. I'd love to know more about the lenses and framerates used. kaylee

kye
Fantastic show. I especially like the creativity that having people in 'altered states of consciousness' can inspire
Ivko Pivko
I loved the first season but I didn't know the second one was already airing. Unfortunately it looks it's not available here. Is it weekly or bingeable? If it's weekly maybe it will come to Europe once all the episodes have been aired.
Anaconda_
Season 2 is still weekly, but I think it's coming to a close pretty soon.. The altered states scenes are so creatively mare, I wish I could find info on how they're doing it. As for the CGI, I felt the same at first, but it's grown on me. The whole point is he's a wacky character, and puppetry could have been limiting. The plates for the closeups of the imaginary characters are always really interestingly filmed too. Ivko Pivko
I agree with @Anaconda_. The CGI of the character grows on you pretty quickly as soon as you see the point of it. @kaylee give Happy a chance ? kaylee

Yeah @kaylee - just think of it as a trip where everything has separated so the entire world is violent and filthy, and Happy is shiny and new 23 hours ago, Anaconda_ said: I'd love to know more about the lenses and framerates used. That one is obviously pretty wide Wides often have very close focusing distances so it's an aesthetic we can all emulate at home!

There are also some great shots when he picks up a gun or kicks over a table. Things like that. kye
