Is Olympus video stupid?

I have been seeing a lot of beautiful stills out of the new Olympus OM-D E-M5, new sensor with amazing quality, high ISO and low noise, etc., but I went to their web site and looked at the specs for video on the camera.  If these are final, then they've blown it for video - totally.  30fps sensor output, but recorded as 1080i, no 30fps progressive at 1080, no 24fps period, AVCHD at a maxium bit rate of 20Mbps.  Does anyone know anything about this camera first hand?  Andrew, have you played with it?
