black
(please look @ attachment) I am not sure if this card is fast enough for shooting raw video on my 5D Mark III or not. Should I keep it or try another Komputer Bay card that maybe is faster?
Mobillaire
According to Andrew's guide you need 83 MB/s for 1080p raw video. (Highly recommend the guide!) My 64GB Komputerbay tested at 95.6 MB/s so I'm keeping it. Hope this helps!
nahua
If you don't like it return it. I returned 5 of their cards before getting one that actually worked.
black
I bought the guide a couple of days ago, without it I wouldn't have dared to try ML on my 5dm3. Could you please tell me the page where Andrew wrote the speed recommendations your referring to?
nahua
I don't have Andrew's guide, but if you have the latest build it says the recommended card speed. So pick your aspect ratio, then resolution, and on the bottom of the screen it'll say recommended write speed plus how many frames you can capture. It's also an estimation based on the last time you recorded at that aspect ratio/resolution. You should also try recording a few clips first and let the card warm up. A lot of times writing for the first 2 min or so will be slow and in the 80-something range. But after that it will go up to 90+ range. This is common for all manufacturers, even my expensive Lexars do this too. So not everything is revealed in the tests. Last resort exchange the card. It's a pain in the ass I know, but now I have a working card that does 104 MB/s. Well worth all the effort.
