a dream within a dream - Award winning 3min Poe film shot on GH2

Hey Guys!

 



My crew and I just won "Best College Short" for the Poe Project at the 2013 Sac and Music Festival for our short film "a dream within a dream".



 

The Poe Project was a special submission that had Sacramento area filmmakers work on various works by Edgar Allan Poe. The only restriction was that it had to be under 13 min.



 

We shot with the hacked GH2 and the GoPro Black (for the underwater shots), with Canon FD 50mm 1.4 and SLR Magic Hyperprime Cine 12mm 1.6 lenses. We were on a super tight budget, I don't think we spent more than $150 on clothes and gas/food. Production was roughly 5 days. Locations were in Old Sacramento, Beatnik Studios in Sacramento, the Old City Cemetery in Sacramento, Lodi Beer Co. in Lodi, CA, and on the beaches in Half Moon Bay.
