Henry Gentles
Hi, I just bought a 2nd hand Carl Zeiss Jena 35mm f2.4 lens in PB mount and I'm not sure what adapter I need to mount to my Nikon d5200? Is PB mount an M42? I haven't actually got it yet it's in the mail but thought I could order an adapter so I won't have to wait. Thanks! Julian
Not possible. http://www.graphics.cornell.edu/~westin/misc/mounts-by-register.html Praktica Bayonet has a 44.4mm register distance. Nikon F is 46.5mm. So you'd need an adapter that has a length of minus 2,1mm. Maybe someone makes an adapter with a glass element that corrects this, but that would result in loss of image quality. jgharding
Indeed, Nikon mount sucks for adapting glass to it. You can fit these on Canon EF though, or any mirrorless of course.
