Broken Sankor 16C

Hi everybody,

 

I bought a SANKOR 16C on ebay, and when it arrived, i have test it, and the focus ring is broken, when i turn it, nothing change, the image continue to be blur. Do you know this problem ? Is there a way to fix it ?

is the focus ring on your taking lens working okay?  if it is and you still can't get focus doing dual rack, then sounds like you have to return that sankor.

Circular bokeh means that the taking lens is not focused but still the image should change when the Sankor is focused.

well, to my opinion it could be that lens are not aligned. Anyway, you have to dismantle it (for the moment without lens removal) and check the focus ring, headers...or return it to the seller....

Does the front lens move when you turn the focus ring on the sankor? If it does, you should try to align both lenses.

Thank you all for your answers. Both lenses are align, and in the video, at the begining i turn the focus ring of my canon 50mm F1.8, and after i only turn the focus ring of the sankor, and the image don't move. I never have a fully sharpen image, it always been blurry. I have tried to focus to infinity, but nothing happens. I have contact a guy in NY to repair it. I think something is broke inside...
