Oliver Daniel
I'm ambitiously attempting to put together a very accomplished filmmaking kit together that you can fit inside one of those hard, wheeled cases . It's to facilitate a new service I'm working on. The strategy is to be very mobile / portable but offering very high quality with a great range of tools. Thought it would be fun to share with you guys. Can it be done? This is what I want to fit inside one hard case with wheels - and it needs to be as lightweight as possible ?: 1. Hybrid Mirrorless Camera 2. Two to three lenses covering wide to telephoto. 3. 5 inch monitor 4. Slider 5. Gimbal 6. Compact Tripod 7. Three lights with stands 8. Headphones 9. Shotgun Mic 10. Wireless Audio Transmitter / Receiver + Lav. 11. (if Mirrorless Camera has crap preamps) Audio Recorder. 11. Lens Filters (Variable ND etc) 12. SD cards 13. Cleaning Kit. 14. Batteries / Chargers. How would you create yours? Can you get all of this in just one case?
Super Members BTM_Pix Posted July 26, 2019 Super Members Share Posted July 26, 2019 This is a decent place to start. They have an app to create foam inserts for all the various hard cases from Peli, SKB etc. There is a limited preset library of lenses and cameras but you can photograph or use pack shots of your own gear as well. https://mycasebuilder.eu Katrikura

kye
I'd start by taking all the gear and laying it out on a flat surface to see if that's possible. Obviously a case works in 3D but you'd get a sense of how to lay it out, what might be a good starting point, and if it's hopeless to begin with. I have padded inserts with velcro dividers that you can move around and face a similar battle each time I plan a holiday and have to work out how to fit everything in. webrunner5
Sounds like you need to buy one of those old ENG camera cases with all that gear in one spot lol. They are cheap also now. PannySVHS
