paulraymaekers
would it be possible to hack the gh3 to get better low light performance for HD filming I only use the GH3 in low light (under water filming) pixel binning 2x2 from 'native' 3840x2160 pixels to get 1920x1080 I know I would loose 1.2 crop but that is no problem
bzpop
the best low light camera of all times is 5D mark III, and when you learn to shoot raw witih it - you'll be more than just happy; just get the bloody Canon :)

paulraymaekers
is that the average time of your dive? dive times vary, but when the action is there, it can be multiple hours easely

paulraymaekers
are you saying you can stay multiple hours under the water on one tank? we dive closed circuit rebreathers, so 5 hours is no problem at all not that we stay 5 hours all the time, but 2-3 hours is very normal

Guest
There are no hacks for the GH3 at all. If you want to stick with the GH3 your best option is to buy a Metabones Speed Booster and fast Nikkor prime (e.g. 50mm 1.2 AI-s). The Lumix GM1 and GX7 have much better low light performance than the GH3 and you can of course use your MFT lenses with them. Otherwise, the Nikon D5300 is probably the best low light camera for video. Better dynamic range than 5D3 (non-raw). I believe the cheaper D3300 has the same tech as the D5300 so should perform the same.
