Trankilstef
That's exactly why I jumped off from the Canon ship few years ago. I'm sick of all those little things to protect their upper models. I mean you can do it in a sense, but when every other brand do offers 24p, you really have to have no shame... Shell64
Sadly this camera could’ve been an even better M50. But NO. They make in my opinion a perfect camera with full sensor 4K AND DPAF, but ruin its appeal.
forofilms
Appears they did the same thing with the 90D as well. Clowns. Eno

Cliff Totten
Its not funny. A Canon rep told there is a legitimate reason for no 24p. He said something about the way the sensor is read out. He said that Canon wants it to operate at a perfect temperature. It runs too cold at 24p, but is at an optimum temp at 30p. It was done for the benefit of the camera. Administrators Andrew Reid Posted August 22, 2019 Author Administrators Share Posted August 22, 2019 I am curious to know the story behind the Italian one. Did the old dictator have a bit of a stroke or just out of it on drugs? Shell64 and maxmizer
Mako Sports
But wait, apparently the Canon apologist don't even need/shoot 24fps. It for filmmaker wannabes ?
RWR
I remember reading a comment something like "We know Canon will kneecap these new models. It's just a matter of how".
Popular Post fuzzynormal
Shoot in 30p, but then conform it into 24p. The subtle slow-mo of the image will make it look more cinematic. Canon is just trying to help you become better filmmakers. Brian Williams, Shell64, Jerome Chiu and 7 others

Did the old dictator have a bit of a stroke or just out of it on drugs? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Giulio_Andreotti He was a Cristian Democrat elected by universal suffrage. He suffered an ischemic stroke in his 89 year-old body during a TV live show presented by Paola Perego on Sundays in that year of 2008. EDIT -- @maxmizer I hadn't seen your post yet. I don't think Andrew had done in any way other than as our societies today are much influenced by the dominant anglo cultures : ) As Agostinho da Silva once said, Rome transferred itself to Iberian Peninsula five centuries ago and the Brits brought it to the other side of Atlantic. When they took the seas, to begin with, I'd dare to add and say with the triumph on both Industrial Revolution and capitalism as binomial success with the economy to rule the thinking worldwide and the wars to split the people of our old continent twice in the last century. (E. ) PS: Reason why I believe there's a strong reason why we should all worry ourselves with the Brexit process, a really dangerous setback if it will happen as seems probable to occur when there's no statemen like Churchill, De Gaulle, Khol, Andreotti, as for instance, anymore. Garug
People who need 24p can afford cameras that have it. 24p truly is no match for 60 Hz monitors. I would be happy if 24p would one day be gone from internet, but much more likely that I have 120 Hz monitor before that happens and then it does not matter anymore. gescom and Shell64
wolf33d
I can’t wait for @Mattias Burling to tell us how great the camera is. You know it’s all about the image. Forget the specs. The Canon mojo!! I am not Italian but I can tell you there's no one Italy, but much distinct ones... As much as many places ; ) You instead risk to be killed at the hands of a gang in LA if you go for a walk in certain parts of the town and you pick up a T-shirt to dress with the wrong color. I can assure you this won't happen in any place in Europe as far as I know or had heard about. There's no even (we will) mention mass shootings, go figure... ; -) gescom

We have 25fps and most monitors are also 60 Hz somehow.
