trouble with 44mb "vanilla" gh2 hack

Within a few seconds of pressing the record button, I get an error message that "motion recording was cancelled due to the limitation of the write speed of the card". I'm shooting with the 14-140 kit lens, camera is set up following Andrew Reid's recommendations in the GH2 Shooter's Guide, choosing the HBR mode. I know the hack was successfully installed, because everything else works like the 12800 ISO, and there are no problems recording using any settings other than HBR. The card is a Transcend Class 10 SDHC 32GB, brand new and formatted in the GH2. I scanned it with HD Tune for errors or bad sectors and it came up clean. HD Tune also benched it at Min 17.8MB/sec and Max 18.7MB/sec, so it ought to have no problem with the 44mbit hack, but apparently it does. Any suggestions or ideas how I can get it to work?

Thanks in advance for your help!
