Help with underexposed footage

Hello,

I recorded an event last weekend and the guy who organized the event thought at the last minute it would be a good idea to add another camera, so we went to a nearby shop and rented the only thing they had, which was a Sony Alpha 9 or something like that (we were in a hurry...). I'd never used a Sony camera before and didn't have any time to familiarize myself with it. The problem I have now is that while the image looked fine on the LCD, it came out severely underexposed and as soon as I push the exposure in Premiere, the image gets very grainy.

I'm no cinematographer, as should be obvious. Is there any way I can salvage that footage and make it at least usable? Thank you.
