DanielVranic
What do you all think? For the price, I know I will try it. https://www.mirrorlessrumors.com/surprise-this-is-the-new-sirui-50mm-f1-8-133x-anamorphot-lens-for-sony-e-fuji-x-and-mft/ ntblowz and Cinegain

DBounce
€500 for a 50mm f1.8 anamorphic sounds incredible. I would say if the lens is half way decent this is game changing. To bad it's not full frame.
KnightsFan
Wow, that is incredibly cheap. It is only a 1.33x though. Nice for a Fuji XT3, but not so great for any of the 4:3 cameras out there. Wow, that is incredibly cheap. It is only a 1.33x though. Julien416
1.33 is so incredibly useless when it comes to the anamorphic look though... Underwhelming honestly. Still, it shows that most so called pro anamorphic lenses are propably overvalued by a huge margin.
Lorian
Looks awesome but 1.33x it's useless for a real anamorphic look. I'm also disappointed by the mount selection, why not EF mount?
majoraxis
If it is sharp at f1.8, and produces nice flares it could be of interest and value to many including myself. Looks like I would get the E mount version and then adapt it to M4/3 as needed. 1.33x is pretty lack luster for an anamorphic, but as character lens this may worth price. zerocool22
Yeah not FF and 1,33. I pass.

I think you mean get M43 version and adapt on E mount? ? There is M43 to E mount adapter but not E mount to M43 adapter. Btw there are FF ones out there, the cheapest is around $4000 though ? https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1233202-REG/slr_magic_slr_ac70133pl_70mm_1_33x_anamorphot_cine_lens.html

Jokes aside that lens look really nice on the S1H promo, but 2.2KG by itself it definitely not for 1 man band... This is probably the closest on mft for 2X anamorphic, for less than half the price of an Orion. https://***URL not allowed***/vazen-anamorphic-1-8x-40mm-t2-for-mft-sample-footage/ But Sirui one is definitely the more affordable and light enough for hand handle shooting without rig. nathlas
500$ for an anamporphic glass ? With their profit in this price ? And you have great expectations ? ?

The slrmagic 1.33x adapter cost the same price without any lens, really interested to see the actual result, but yeah dont expect too high. Cinegain
Holy Simon Cowell. I'm a bit of a trap faller apparently, so once I fell for one that's vintage anamorphics. Taking lenses, clam adapters, dual focusing, rods & lens supports. Man, that wasn't for me. xD So... it was cool to see single focus all-in-1 anamorphic lenses getting affordable. Especially with the Atlas Lens Co. and Vazen. Or before it even inexpensive adapters, like that one tiny sensor only 1.5x VM Lens or now with the DJI cams and smartphones the ones from Moment. But a 50mm f/1.8 1.33x anamorphic for 500 bucks! That's just unheard of. Speaking of unheard of... Sirui, the brand known mostly for its tripods of course... now one time I read about them working on lenses... never actually saw one making it to market. So let's just see if this will. Interesting that now this shows up! newfoundmass
Sometimes it feels like some people will never be happy. This is great news, whether you buy it or not. That affordable anamorphic lenses are hitting the market is a big deal and a sign of things to come. Video Hummus
1.33x for €500 is not terrible. The Vazen 1.8x 40mm T2 is more interesting though for MFT users.

Frankly I can't understand why we don't have any AF anamorphic lenses, especially as AI becomes more of a thing in cameras. 5 hours ago, ntblowz said: Btw there are FF ones out there, the cheapest is around $4000 though ? https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1233202-REG/slr_magic_slr_ac70133pl_70mm_1_33x_anamorphot_cine_lens.html Those are garbage. That is true, only I am not waiting on any MFT lenses. I hope Samyang will finally announce their anamorphic lenses at IBC. (that has been going on forever).
