Sony Nex 7 Judder when panning and lack of smoothness when using zoom.

Several of the examples online of video from the Sony Nex 7 have the following problems:

A noticeable and repeated judder when panning even when it seems the camera is on a tripod. What is causing this and can t be corrected. is this a problem with the camera and possibly DSLR's in general as i have seen this in video shot by other DSLR's.
