arttri
I'm using a D850 with EOSHD's Z-LOG to record to an Atomos Ninja V. The Ninja V defaults to Rec.709 for the camera input and allows the user to change that to match Log or HDR profiles from various cameras (Sony S-Log, Canon C-Log, Panasonic V-Log, etc.) and to select the Gamut if that profile has multiple options. Which of these options most closely matches what EOSHD Z-LOG on my D850 sends to the recorder? Nikon N-Log (BT.2020 is the only gamut) Canon C-Log, C-Log2, or C-Log3, with options for Gamut as BT.2020, DCIP3, our Canon Cinema Sony S-Log, S-Log2, or S-Log3 with options for gamut as BT.2020, S-Gamut, S-Gamut3.cine, Panasonic V-Log with V-Gamut There are also options from JVC, Arri, Red, etc., but I assume those aren't what I should choose. Thanks for any help!
Administrators Andrew Reid Posted September 25, 2019 Administrators Share Posted September 25, 2019 It's mainly for internal recording, not much quality gain going HDMI Try Nikon N-LOG first, and if that doesn't look right, try C-LOG.
