stefanocps
Hello, being a new user with this camera, i am trying to understand better about these 2 option.Manual don't say much , i would like to know the difference, how they relate to other shooting parameters and format and what is the workflow to edit them thanks alot
MrSMW
At risk of sounding rude...and I mean the opposite, do a search on YouTube as there are many really good videos there that folks have put a lot of time and effort into. Martin Helbron, Mitch Lally, Gerald Undone possibly... Off the top of my head. Personally, I tried both but in the end, decided Eterna in camera was more than good enough for my needs. Converted to ProRes, minimal editing in Premiere. Going to try Resolve this Winter when I have some down time.
stefanocps
more than most probably i'll be using eterna too. I 'am just on the process of a good overview of all possibilities. That's why could be enough a post more than e detailed video!

BrunoCH
The best shoots I got with my XT3 are with the 4K DCI 400mbps, H265, F-log, color graded in Resolve beta 16.1, de-log with a color space transform node. mercer

In the XT3 menu, DCI is about 4K DCI which is the 4K cinema standard. 4k is about 4k UHD which is the TV standard. It's just a small difference of a few pixels vertical lines; nothing else. This is amazing color grading. Do you have any process video or blog that I could see/read about the way you go about grading? Flog has been daunting for me to get right.
