EthanAlexander
Sony car: super fast, super range, all the tech, only ugly paint color options. Nikon car: great tech, durable, promised features like "external batteries for extended range" never actually get released. Panasonic car: best suspension, most efficient, doesn't let you look through the windshield when using the accelerator. Canon car: super sexy, built like a tank, "dual focus" lane-keep assist, can't go faster than 10 mph. After firmware update it can go faster than 10mph but only if you never touch the steering wheel. no_connection
Well at least they can now use their very high rolling shutter design to great effect, the need to stop as to not over heat and constantly charge is a feature since it allows the user to meet new people and get connected, just not with a phone unless you pay extra for the app. EthanAlexander

kye
Of particular interest to me was this section: Quote Among the internal features of the car is sensing technology that can detect occupants of the vehicle and recognise them, in order to allow for gesture control of the entertainment systems. and one thing they forgot to mention - declining rides to people who have been blacklisted. The point that ridesharing starts being offered by automated vehicles is the point when your ride might show up covered in whatever bodily fluids were put there by the last passenger and there was no driver to realise something was wrong... maybe I should buy shares in manufacturers of those sensors that detect dust and fluids because there will be so many of them they'll basically be weaving the fabric and carpet out of them! That Sony car is a joke.

Simple solution: camera in car, you see a picture from the in car camera when you accept the ride offered.
